Our Team

Founding member Jorge Luis Vasquez, Jr. is an awarded winning cannabis attorney who has played a pivotal role in shaping cannabis legislation in New York. He was instrumental in the creation and passage of the Marihuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA), advocating for a framework that promotes social equity and economic opportunity within the cannabis industry.

In addition to his legislative efforts, Jorge served as the lead attorney for ConBud, 82-J, LLC, Kush Culture Industry, LLC, and Summit Canna, LLC collectively, “CAURD Intervenors” in Matter of Fiore v. New York State Cannabis Control Board et. al. to ensure the successful rollout of the Conditional Adult Use Retail Dispensary (CAURD) Program, a critical initiative that has provided opportunities for individuals affected by
past cannabis enforcement to engage in a diverse and inclusive marketplace.
